The Barn Behind 1530 Villa - Castleton (Derbyshire)

We decided to explore the Peak District and chose The Barn Behind based on its excellent reviews. We weren't disappointed! The property is beautifully decorated, spacious for a couple, and well-equipped with a kitchen that had everything we needed. The location in the heart of Castleton was perfect, with plenty of restaurants and pubs just steps away. The shower was a standout feature and the off-street parking was a bonus. The host, Alicia, was friendly and the staff in the bar/restaurant were attentive. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The location couldn't have been better for exploring the Peak District. We loved having a private parking spot and being right in the heart of the town. The accommodation itself was ideal, with a spacious and comfortable bedroom, a modern and clean bathroom, and a kitchen and living space upstairs for privacy. We also loved the fact that there was an amazing restaurant right behind the Barn - we ordered dinner from them every night and it was delicious. we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend staying at the Barn Behind.

Mind-blowing location in the center, super modern style with jaw-dropping furnishings and excellent facilities. Loved the off-street parking, free Wi-Fi, and the flat-screen TV! The restaurant was top-notch, with a welcome drink and delicious food. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay unforgettable. Planning a return visit already! No smoking on site.

The towels were so fluffy, I could practically hide in them. I felt like a pampered queen.

Oh, and let's not forget the lack of a welcome note on the closed restaurant's door. How delightful!

I always stay at this place in Castleton. Friendly staff tipped me about best local taxi. Perfect for city trip: Free Wi-Fi, Free parking, Flat-screen TV, Adults only, Restaurant, Welcome drink. I keep coming back, no regrets.

The nearest airport was Manchester, so convenient if you want a quick escape! The on-site restaurant was great, saved me the effort of finding somewhere else to eat. Towels were provided, which was a relief because I always forget to pack them.

Who needs better lighting in the bedroom? I love stumbling around in the dark.

We appreciated the the tea/coffee and bread provided. Despite a couple of minor inconveniences, like the soft pillows and patchy Wi-Fi, we loved our time here. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area.

Better bedroom lighting and some information on local walks would have been helpful. the pillows were too soft for my liking, although my wife didn't mind.
